Rapid Learner Program Support :
Parents are welcomed into the classroom.
There are many volunteer opportunities outside the classroom as
well. Your support is vital to the success of the program.
In addition, the Rapid Learner program needs the
financial support of all the participating families. We ask
for an annual, tax-deductible donation for each child in the
program. These contributions help to offset cuts in school
funding and ensure continuation of the many opportunities offered to
our students.
PERLE (Parents Enriching a Rapid Learner
Education) was formed to support the Rapid Learner program. By
collecting and allocating the monies contributed by the parents, the
PERLE Committee supplements the academic program in various ways.
The purchase of additional equipment/materials for the classrooms,
additional Spanish instruction, math enrichment, and field trip
scholarships are examples of how these funds are spent.
The Committee is composed of an Executive Board,
classroom representatives, a teacher representative, and the Site
Administrator. The monthly meetings are open to all RL
parents. Aside from having a financial agenda, these meetings
provide the forum for voicing concerns and facilitating discussion
about the education of our children.
