Visual Arts at Deterding Elementary School

Students learn about art history, artists, and artistic styles.  They are often encouraged to create a piece of art interpreting the style of the artist they are studying.

There are many beautiful and creative works that span all age groups and grade levels.

Deterding had 33 award winning entries at the 2009 California State Fair Youth Art & Design Expo. Congratulations to Deterding Art Instructor Jean Weil and all our student artists who submitted their works!
