The Deterding Choir
Under the direction of their fearless leader, Mr. George Dozet,
the Deterding Choir is one of the most beloved components of our
school. Each year over 80 students. both boys and girls in
Grades 4-6, jump at the chance to be a part of this exciting
group!

Deterding Choir : More fun than a kid should be allowed to
have!
- The Golden Empire Music Festival - Superior or Excellent
rating 10 years running (two times triple superior) -
Constantly one of the only elementary school choirs in
attendance
- Annually sings for the Sacramento Kings’ professional
basketball team
- Performed for the Junior Symphony League Winter Banquet
2007
- PTA State Convention 2006 entertainment
- Entertainment for Eskaton Village and/or Carmichael Oaks
senior residents 9 years running
- Invited to perform at the CMEA State Convention 2005
- Sang our National Anthem for “Opening Day” of the 2009
Sacramento Monarchs’ season
- Annual participant in the San Juan Unified “KidzArt”
festival and the Deterding Elementary “Spring Art & Music
Festival”
